There is help for men looking to improve sexual pleasure, overcome sexual dysfunction from diabetes or erectile dysfunction, or increase the length, girth, or strength of their erections. With ED can come self-esteem and anxiety issues, leading to emotional stress and strain on relationships and quality of life for both men and women. Now there is a simple, medication free way to improve your sexual function.
What is the Priapus Shot® or P-Shot®?
In a simple non-surgical office procedure called the P-Shot® or Priapus Shot®, men are discovering an improved level of sexual function, health, and satisfaction by way of a natural solution using an ingredient from their own blood. This ingredient is PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma which is rich in growth factors. Click here to see “What is PRP?”
The P-Shot® is effective in treating erectile dysfunction with an increase in blood flow, improved firmness and sensation, and can even increase length and girth.
Who can the P-Shot® benefit?
The P-Shot® or Priapus Shot® can help men suffering from:
- Vascular disease
- Peyronies Disease, causing curved, painful erection
- Difficulty ejaculating or erectile dysfunction
- Desiring an increase in length, girth, or firmness of erection
How is the P-Shot® performed and does it hurt?
The Priapus Shot® is tolerated well with little to no pain. A simple blood draw is performed, then the blood is spun in a centrifuge to obtain the plasma and platelets, known as Platelet Rich Plasma or PRP. (See, What is PRP?) While this is happening a topical numbing medication is applied to the penis, and a lidocaine block is done prior to the procedure, which significantly reduces any discomfort. You may feel an initial slight pinch or warmth sensation with the lidocaine block, but overall there is minimal to no pain. The PRP is then carefully and specifically injected into the areas of the male sexual organ with a tiny needle which disperses the PRP with growth factors into the proper areas. You can immediately resume normal physical exercise and sexual activity following the procedure once the anesthetic has worn off.
How can the P-Shot® help and what will I notice?
The beauty of this procedure is that it is natural. There is little risk of adverse reaction to the injection, as it comes from your own blood.
- There’s actual growth of new tissue by stimulation of unipotent stem cells. So, the change in shape is not from something foreign being in the body, but from the body actually rejuvenating and growing! So, the penis can become larger, stronger and straighter.
- The PRP stimulates new blood flow with new blood vessels.
- There is little risk of an adverse or allergic reaction. This is coming from your own body, so the body does not react to it as a foreign substance.
- Bruising is minimal, if at all.
- There is no lumpiness or nodules.
- The P-Shot® makes other therapies work better. (If you still need Viagra or Cialis, then they should work better for you after the P-Shot®.)
Is there any downtime after having the P-Shot®?
You will be given post-procedure instructions, however there really is no downtime after having the P-Shot®. You can resume sexual relations as soon as the anesthetic wears off.
When will I notice results?
Some men who get the P-Shot® for reasons of sexual health will see an immediate increase in sexual function, desire and pleasure. Typically, it takes up to 6-12 weeks to notice the biggest difference.
Results can typically last 1-3 years with one treatment. Occasionally patients may need a second injection treatment within 6-12 months of initial treatment.
For patients seeking treatment for Peyronie’s disease or lichen sclerosis, more than one treatment may be needed to have the greatest improvement and relief. However, many men have noticed significant relief in shape and function after the first treatment.
